Ready to bust some ghosts?  Here are some great ideas to make your Ghost Busting Party spook-tacular:

Build Your Own Ghost Buster Proton Packs

Proton Packs can be built using a backpack as the base.  Cut a piece of felt the correct size to cover the face of the backpack, including 4 ties coming off the sides (2 on each side) so the felt piece can be tied onto the backpack.  Next cut circles out of different colored felt for knobs.  A phone cord can be attached with a glue gun and tassels applied.  Duct tape can create reflective elements on the pack.  For the gun, wrap a packing tube with felt and glue it down.  Attach the tube to the pack with a cord or string.

If you don't have enough back packs, a cardboard box can be used instead.  You can create straps out of felt and glue these to the box.  It's a good idea to spray paint the box a solid color before attaching straps or decorations.

Lisa Yu from Paint Savvy suggests green goo painted all over the face to mimic slime, or a red circle with cross slash as shown below.                       

Tools for the Ghost Hunt:

  Evidence collecting bags-clear ziplocks will do the trick.  Have some sharpies available for labeling collected evidence.  And you might want to leave some green slime in various places for the kids to collect.

   Red Flashlights

Cover your flashlights with red cellophane to keep the light from potentially blinding specters.
