How to straighten paint brush tips

Don't throw those brushes away!

So, without having a better method to straighten my expensive artists brush tips, I decided to try caking them in hair gel, then delicately taping them straight and baking them in the sun.
And for the most part this worked out ok...........
and then, a stroke of genius ;)
I am a Brit and love my Tea. I drink at least 3 -4 cups daily, black green not too picky, just need a hot drink in my hand!
I was holding a few recently borrowed and returned and completely frazzled and bent artist brushes when I decided I needed a cup of tea.
The brushes just happened to be in my hand as I was boiling the water and pouring my cup of, when it occurred to me to boil my brushes.

So here is a step by step of what I did:

First boil water and quickly pour into a small bowl, cup or container.

Immediately (as the water cools quickly, roll your brush ends through the boiled water until smooth)

Wallah! Your ends are perfect as the day you purchased them!
