Save BIG on a Casino Party Hat DIY

Casino Parties are a BIG hit! The following Casino party DIY would serve as Dealer hats, or party attendee gifts. This could also be a make and take parting gift or craft opportunity.

Save big on your casino party hat.
We wanted to create a version of a hat that we found at our local Party City.
We knew that we could cut the cost considerably.
Here is what we did...

Purchase a plain top hat in the color of your choosing. We chose money green for ours. Hats can be purchased at a local Party City for $1.99 per piece, or if you order online, for as low as .65c from Windy City Novelties.

Step 1 : scan and color print a few cards or use a stock image from the web

Step two cut a 1 inch strip of sticky backed foam sheet
(this is glitter green) -we purchased ours at AC Moore

Next cut out the paper cards and cut straight across the bottom to fit the hat
(this will be covered with your glitter strip)

Remove the seal from the back of your glitter strip, position your paper cards, and press the strip in place to secure your cards.

Finished look below

We also created a Dealer Visor. Again locally the visors can be purchased at a craft store like Michaels or AC Moore for $1. We then printed out a smaller scanned card image but secured it on the underside of the visor.

Party City hat for $5.99             Our Casino hat cost $1.25
