Do I tip a Children's or Specialty Entertainer?

The Service of a Children's Entertainer is talent based.
In all likely hood, they have developed specialized talent in their field of interest.

Magicians spend countless hours perfecting their illusions and customer relations. Sleight of Hand is very tricky to pull of seamlessly and requires special skill engaging the crowd and redirecting them.

Face painting has come a long way! No longer do you just see high school volunteers with craft paints, it's become a sought after art form. Face and body painters today pay a great attention to detail, executing their transformative skills. Today you can become a super hero, or tiger, or a beautiful butterfly!

Balloon twisters have the delicate job of twisting and molding small latex balloons into beautiful creations, like dinosaurs, princesses, and hats! All under pressure from long lines, strange requests, not to mention the physical demands of twisting for extended periods of time.

In short, all entertainers, whether they are stilt walkers, balloon sculpture's, face painters, caricature artists, magicians, Characters, or any other specialized trade providers do in fact appreciate a gratuity.

Although they are never expected, gratuities demonstrate a satisfaction on a personal level with your artist or talent. It shows that you personally approve and appreciate the skill you have hired, witnessed or experienced.

It is well accepted practice to show appreciation through tips to most people in the following service industries:  massage therapists, hair dressers, make-up artists, and the like. They have developed and offer both specialized physical skills and interpersonal skills. Both worthy of appreciation on an individual level.

The same is definitely true for Entertainment Service Providers. They too have invested time, and energy into their education, and many have formal degrees, business licenses, and insurance certificates.

How much is really up to you! The average tip that Paint Savvy Entertainers receive for an hour's worth of party or event service is typically $30. And a few dollars up to $10 for a single service provided to you or your child at a festival or canival.

Thank you to all of you who appreciate and support Entertainers!
