Princess Party Hat Craft!

We made the cutest Princess Cone Hats today for Ella's Birthday Party!
Recommended for ages 4+

How to make your Princess Hat DIY!

Step 1:
Supplies, posterboard (pink ofcourse), glue dots, tape, stapler, glue gun, scissors, tool, ribbon, Christmas tinsel or craft boa, elastic, fun paper to make your monogram.

Step 2:
Make a template for your Hat and trace your template onto your poster board using as much of the paper as possible. We were able to make six hats out of one sheet of poster board.
Tip: we used a old party hat from a dollar store, as our template, we made ours taller by raising the point.

Step 3:
The posterboard is thicker material, and so for durability, we used hot glue to seal the seam.

Step 4: At this point children can take over and complete the Princess Cone Hats.
Next use glue dots around the base of the cone hat to secure your boa/tinsel material.

Step 5: clip the tip of your hat, using a slim wooden dowl, long pencil or other object, wrap your ribbon and tool around the top and stuff it through the tip of your hat. Outside to inside.

Step 6: Pull your tool through as far as you can without pulling it all the way. Tie a knot and pull back through the exterior top of hat. The knot secures the tool from falling or getting pulled out.

Step 7: Use craft paper/wrapping paper or any scrap fun colorful paper and make the first letter of the childs name. Cut out and they can glue it in place.

This completes this DIY Princess Party Craft!
